In Reaching for Heaven, Robert Lembree turns his lens toward the sublime interior of Barcelona’s La Sagrada Família. Shot from below, the image captures the cathedral’s towering ceiling—where Gaudí’s vision unfolds in radiant geometry. Columns rise like ancient trees, their branches spreading into a vaulted canopy of light, color, and symbolic detail. Warm hues on one side, cool on the other, create a visual chorus beneath the glass-lit skylights. Rob’s composition invites the viewer to experience the architecture not only as structure, but as spiritual gesture—a reaching upward, both physical and metaphysical. A meditation in stone, glass, and light.
