The red line comes out from underground from Kendall Square toward the Longfellow Bridge, treating riders to a magnificent view of the Boston skyline, if only for a short time. After the bridge, the train descends back underground toward Park Street. When I look at this, I wonder how it must be for the train operators coming into the daylight for a brief respite from an hour or more underground.
